Festival of Pumpkin 10^ edition |

12 October, from 09,30 to 18,00, in the historical center, the Tourism Agency of Vallecrosia city organizes the X Edition Festival of Pumpkin. Many figures and colors of pumpkin and similar vegetables will be presented and in addition engastronomic stands with plates based by pumpkin, local products shops etc. Particulary, for this occasion, the famous fried pumpkin ravioli called in dialect "barbagiuai" ( Uncle Giovanni ) will be prepared by the local group "E done di barbagiuai". |
| From 6 to 8 November 2008, at Sanremo a season of the Singer Song Writer's Festival titled Tenco will start. It's an important cultural moment for the Sanremo City, witch hosts, for the consecutive 3 nights, the big artists of Italian music. This High Quality Festival in the artistic, cultural and technical meaning, is held from 1974 annualy al Teatro Ariston of Sanremo. It's the unique events in the Europe and maybe in the World. Not only Italian but also international big singer song writer will be invited.
The Tenco Premium is awareded every year to one or more big artists of grobal level. This price is attribuited by the Club Tenco executive, the difference from the Targhe Tenco, is awareded to the best disc Italian Singer Song Writer. |

2008 Sanremo Car Rally: 50th edition
Therefs a great appointment with the 50th edition of the Sanremo Car Rally I.R.C. Championship. A classic among the most important events of the City of Flowers, which boasts in itfs Italian calendar the one with most years of service.
Itfs an edition to remember, first of all because it is celebrating half of century of life, then because it will be part of the Italian Championship other than being part of the European Cup. And the night of the 25th there will be the special night stage that will be the longest that the pilots of the Interncontinental Rally Challenge will ever face during the entire racing season.
Other than the maxi stage there will be other 11 stages for a total of more than 258 km.

NEW COURSE!!
Italian + Sculpture
  
This course has been tailored for students with an interest and passion for the Italian Art. The course includes 4 hours of Italian from 9am to 12:40pm in a group + for the first time from 2.00pm to 4pm theory speciality course on the school premises + the practice part held by a famous professional artist and sculptor of Sanremo, Doctor Paolo Ammirati, friday of the same week and tuesday and friday of the next week, each 2 hours in the afternoon at school or at his studio. The course involves instruction and preparation of Italian sculpture made of wood or iron. At the end of the course, you can bring to house your beautiful opera!!! All utensils and materials are prepared for you! Buon divertimento!

Tenco Prize

San Remo is the Town of Flowers and of Music. Every year the town streets are filled by the notes of "musica d'autore" (i.e., "songwriter music") from the Tenco Prize.
It was Amilcare Rambaldi who created this competition so as to commemorate his friend, Luigi Tenco - a famous Italian singer back in the 1960's. The competition attracts singers who come from every side of the world and they are representatives of songwriter music. It thus celebrates their preference for poetic words, tormenting emotions, and suggestive melodies.
The Tenco Prize is the answer of songwriter music to the Song Festival since it is not strictly connected to record companies and the audience's taste and it can thus tickle the heart of connoisseurs.
